We sought that Donsol; Sorsogon is rich on sea creatures, and cultures. But the difference of this place on the other places Donsol, Sorsogon is also the home of the gentle giants, considered being a largest fish in the sea. That’s why it was a most tourist spot destination here in Bicol region. Now it was destined to be a Whale Shark capital of the world
The Gentle giant also known as (Butanding) has gray polka dots all over its gigantic body. These sea creatures are not really dangerous creatures. The tourist even found them playful, friendly, and gentle, it allows the humans to swim and interact with them.
It measures between 18 to 35 feet in length and weigh about 20 tons. These gentle giant visits the waters of Donsol from November to May. By these months it said to be that many tourist watch the butanding that covered the water off of donsol. At the end of this month the gentle giant quietly disappear, yet nobody knows where they go the rest of the year. But surely it will back again on the month of November to start another wholesome interaction.
I - butanding was the awesome creature but sad to say that I’m a sorsogueños but I’ve never been there in Donsol to see this beautiful creature. Due to lack of time and financial support, but hopefully I will visit there to my root of origin to see what is butanding was. rhouze99
